I don’t own a home and don’t have any intention of buying one soon, but I hear from homeowners all the time about the aches and pains (the real physical types) of keeping up a home: repairing pipes, leaks and electrical issues, patching a roof, replacing a driveway and even updating their landscaping every year or two. Whew! That is A LOT of work just to maintain a home.
I feel the same way about keeping a blog or even my social networks for that matter.
Now that I’ve switched to having a hosted blog, I understand the work needed to keep it updated. I feel like a small business owner in a metropolitan shopping area – if you aren’t open when the other businesses are or don’t promote your sales, then you’re going to lose business.
So bear with me as I am revamping (repairing) categories, experimenting with affiliates and adsense, so I can evetually earn some money from the various topics I write about. I haven’t quite found my niche here; however, I’m working on topics on greener living as well as just observations and general rambings about life, love and the pursuit of simplicity.
And if anyone has great experience working with affiliates and adsense or can even offer a link to a resource or a website with good ad placement, I would appreciate your help.
