I have found success with sinus pain and migrane pain by alternating hot and cold packs on forehead and nasal sinuses. My favorite all-time cold pack is my "halo pack" sold at Medi-temp. It is a long thin gel pack with a brushed nylon/velcro cover. It hits all the pain points on my head and stays put even while sleeping, doing housework, writing lesson plans or (yes, sorry to admit) even while driving. I must look a bit kooky but if it relieves those horrid headaches... who cares? Yeah, my kids.
