The Long Road of a Writer

I was searching for social media information when I came across another well-known blogger and social media expert, Chris Brogran. I had the pleasure of meeting him at Podcamp Pittsburgh or better known as PCPGH3, last October. Only after reading through his Website, did I realize it was a blog! Although somewhat disappointed, I found another page where he allows visitors to post their own site or blog. He calls this the Rockstars page. And there I found my inspiration.

Writing Roads was holding the Stop sign – to read and take part in discussion. I did, and I am so excited that Julie Roads has had a writer’s epiphany like mine. We each had a writer’s dream, but we didn’t go after it right away (marriage, children, financial needs, fear, etc).  And somewhere down our road of life, we met our dream again or maybe it just materialized itself to us once again.

Julie has voiced the same words I did several months ago: I got here because I had to do something else to learn how to be a writer. So what makes life difficult, only makes you persevere and believe in yourself more. – Amen and thanks Julie for realizing your talents and dreams as well as mine.

Thank you, Alicia! It’s so fun to connect with other writers – and a riot to find out how you discovered me!!!!

Thank you Julie. As writers, we tend to be our own worst and best critic. While I was reading your comment, I noticed grammatical errors in my original post. As a freelance blogger, I don’t have anyone to check my writing before publishing; therefore, I am constantly re-reading my own work.
